John Pitt Announces Candidacy:                                    For A More Bountiful Community

Bountiful - is there a better name for a city anywhere?     I don't think so. Not only does that name describe the beauty of our surroundings, it also reflects the attitude of our people. Bountiful is the foundation of my family and the origin of my fondest memories.

How do you say 'Thank You'  to a community that has befriended you, educated you, encouraged you, and supported you at every stage of your life?

I believe the best thing you can do is make it an even better community for the next generations to call it home. That is what I have tried to do for Bountiful since I was old enough to understand the concept of community.  That is also what I intend to continue to do as I seek your support for a position on the Bountiful City Council.   I want to build a more bountiful community for my children and yours.

I believe the years of regional and national economic  and community development experience I have gained over a 25 year career have strengthened my ability to be a strong and sensible advocate for the entire Bountiful Community, particularly for our homes, our schools, our businesses, our city services, our infrastructure, and our arts, parks, and recreation.

Since you believe in Bountiful as strongly as I do, I hope you will join me in this effort to build a More Bountiful Community. Please take a moment to review the issues, positions, and policies included in this web site.  Then please take the opportunity to comment and tell me what you think of my vision for creating a more Bountiful community. Finally, please take a few minutes to be certain that you are registered to vote and then cast your ballots in the August 13th primary and in the November 5th final election. Your vote is the first step toward making our town a more Bountiful community.

Thank you for your continued support of Bountiful,

John S. Pitt
